This Week in Our Classrooms: The Eclipse!

During the summer months, we are lucky enough to call the Royal Ontario Museum our classroom. We are both instructors for the Summer Club program, which means we get to geek out all summer long! This week was extra special: it was the partial Solar Eclipse on Monday. Here in Toronto, we only had  70% coverage of the sun, but it was SO exciting!

Not only were our students and staff excited – but so was everyone who was walking by! It was very fun to connect with the public, by sharing our lenses and encouraging them to experience it with us! It reaffirmed what we already know – doing science is so much more fun than hearing about it! Amid the choruses of “WOAH!!!” and “COOL!!!”, we looked at each other and knew – our jobs are the best jobs.
